They're loose. They're baggy. They're EXTREMELY comfortable. And they're oh so versatile. Ladies, take a break from those suffocating skinny jeans and slip into a pair of boyfriend jeans!
CHOOSING YOUR BOYFRIEND (the jean kind, of course)
Finding the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans may sound easy considering how loose fitting they are. On the contrary, if the wrong pair is chosen, there is a chance that they will look somewhat frumpy. there's a difference between looking casually chic... and looking like you belong in a 90's rap video.

When looking for a pair, try looking for a happy medium between baggy and fitted. You want a look that says, "I can pull off anything, including my man's jeans". Now, this doesn't mean you should rummage through your boyfriend's closet in search of a new pair of pants (but if he's cool with it and they fit well then why not, right?)
But if you're an indepen'ent woman who don't need no man, have no fear; boyfriend jeans are everywhere. This special cut is found with brands such as Gap, AEO, Levi's, and basically any company that sells a wide variety of denim. Finding a pair is easy, finding a pair that looks great... let's say it takes some effort.
The jeans should be loose... but not too loose, depending on how you want it to look. They should sit low on the hips... but not too low; think about how jeans fit on a male body. The length of the pant should also be considered as well as the size of the leg opening: boyfriend jeans look great when rolled up at the ankle, but they can also be left down as well. Making sure you have a good-sized leg opening gives room for experimentation with how much you roll up your jeans, making them shorter or longer. Even though choosing a pair of boyfriend jeans seems somewhat complicated, all the factors I just listed depend on your personal preferences. :) I have seen boyfriend jeans that are incredibly baggy, but still look great.
WEARING YOUR BOYFRIEND JEAN: CASUAL

Boyfriend jeans are such an easy item to just throw on. Perfect for those wonderfully lazy days where you want to look presentable but don't want to part with comfort. I usually throw on a pair of these jeans along with a t-shirt or sweater when I need to run a quick errand. (The weather is currently in it's cooler months, so these outfit examples are more suited for cooler weather. But once spring comes along, I'll have outfits for warmer weather :) )

That's all for now, but stay tuned for formal and warm-weather outfits using boyfriend jeans in the near future!
